BMR Copper-Gold Project

The BMR Copper-Gold Project is a highly prospective 9 km² exploration property located southeast of Ouarzazate, Morocco. Accessible via national road N9 and a short 2 km track, the project benefits from a well-developed infrastructure network, facilitating exploration activities. The property lies within an Ediacaran-aged volcanic and volcano-clastic terrain, hosting significant copper and gold mineralization.

BMR features two main mineralized zones with distinct copper-bearing structures:

Southern Zone: A 1.2 km-long, subvertical mineralized structure within a shear zone, characterized by brecciated quartz-carbonate veins containing chalcocite and malachite. The mineralized zone varies from 0.5m to 5m in width and hosts massive sulfide veins with steep easterly dips. Initial surface sampling by Genius Metals returned high-grade values of up to 11.73% Cu and 5.53 g/t Au, highlighting the project’s significant potential for both copper and gold.

Northern Zone: Home to a historical copper quarry, where approximately 4,000 tonnes of material were extracted. Copper mineralization occurs in veins and disseminated within volcanic host rocks (rhyolite and porphyritic rhyodacite), with mineralization controlled by magmatic and tectonic structures. This area is surrounded by a propylitic alteration zone, suggesting additional exploration potential.

Genius Metals is conducting an independent surface sampling and trenching program to further evaluate BMR’s copper-gold potential, particularly in previously untested areas for gold mineralization.

As part of the company’s expanding Moroccan exploration portfolio, alongside the Tifernine and Timarighine projects, BMR represents a compelling opportunity to develop a high-value copper-gold asset in a mining-friendly jurisdiction

Option Agreement

Genius Metals has entered into an option agreement with Société Bleida Mineral Ressources SARL to acquire a 100% interest in the BMR Project under the following terms:

Cash Payment Schedule:

  • CAD $25,000 by October 20, 2024
  • CAD $30,000 by October 20, 2025
  • CAD $45,000 by October 20, 2026
  • CAD $150,000 by October 20, 2027

Exploration Commitments:

  • CAD $50,000 by October 20, 2025
  • CAD $75,000 by October 20, 2026
  • CAD $100,000 by October 20, 2027

Genius Metals will serve as the operator during the option period and has the flexibility to accelerate the option exercise or terminate the agreement at any time.
