Tifernine Copper Project

The Tifernine Copper Project is an exciting exploration property located southeast of Ouarzazate, Morocco, covering an area of 16 km². Positioned 10 km from the BMR Project, Tifernine benefits from excellent accessibility via national road N9, connecting Ouarzazate to Zagora. This strategic location enhances logistical efficiency for exploration and potential future development.

Geologically, Tifernine is situated within an Ediacaran-aged rhyolitic and andesitic volcanic complex, intersected by ENE-WSW-oriented faults. The property hosts multiple sub-vertical mineralized structures, each extending up to 1 km in length and reaching 2 meters in width. Copper mineralization is present both in quartz-carbonate veins and disseminated throughout the volcanic host rocks, highlighting the project’s potential for significant mineralized zones.

Recent surface sampling by GoldMinds Geoservices Inc. confirmed strong copper mineralization, with notable assay results including:

-5.16% Cu from a sub-vertical fault zone up to 3 meters wide
-1.47% Cu and 0.83% Cu from well-developed mineralized structures

These results reinforce Tifernine’s potential as a high-value copper exploration target, aligning with Genius Metals’ strategy to expand its presence in Morocco, alongside the BMR and Timarighine projects.

Option Agreement

Genius Metals has secured an option to acquire a 100% interest in the Tifernine Copper Project under the following terms:

Cash Payment Schedule:

  • CAD $25,000 by October 20, 2024
  • CAD $30,000 by October 20, 2025
  • CAD $45,000 by October 20, 2026
  • CAD $150,000 by October 20, 2027

Exploration Commitments:

  • CAD $50,000 by October 20, 2025
  • CAD $75,000 by October 20, 2026
  • CAD $100,000 by October 20, 2027

Genius Metals will serve as the operator during the option period and has the flexibility to accelerate the option exercise or terminate the agreement at any time.
